Timika, Central Papua — July 3, 2024 – The Training Intake 18 students at Somatua Training Center have entered the practical phase this past month. They have reached the stage of practicing material excavation techniques as well as soil compaction and leveling.
Interestingly, the four students from Intan Jaya have shown remarkable potential in operating excavators, particularly in the technique of excavating sand material.
One of the students, Dais Wenda, expressed his happiness about his achievement. “I’m very glad to be learning how to operate heavy equipment. Although my hands still feel heavy when controlling the machine, I’m confident that with continuous practice, I will become more skilled,” said Dais.

The students’ abilities are the result of several weeks of intensive training. They have learned the basic theory of excavator operation, as well as practical techniques that are safe and efficient.
The training instructor, Yohanes, praised the students for their hard work and dedication. “I am proud of these students. They have shown rapid progress in a short time. I am confident they will become skilled excavator operators in the future,” said Yohanes.

The success of these students reflects Somatua Training Center’s commitment to providing high-quality training to its participants. With the right training, these students will be ready to enter the workforce and contribute to development in their region.(STC)
