Somatua Training Center (STC) received these trainees on Friday (26/10/2023). They were personally accompanied by the Head of the Department of Manpower and Industry, along with the secretary, treasurer, and Head of the Manpower Training Division. The six trainees enrolled in the construction program, which will last for two months.

After nearly two weeks of training, including both theoretical lessons and field practice, the trainees from Intan Jaya began a new lesson on Wood Construction in the training classroom at Somatua Training Center on Monday (13/11/2023).

This time, the trainees are making door frames and ventilation frames under the direct guidance of the wood construction instructor, Abraham Marandof. The process begins with selecting the wood, measuring, cutting, and then creating the basic patterns for the door and ventilation frames.

“The trainees are very supportive during this class and show great enthusiasm in listening to the instructions I give for measuring the basic patterns,” said Abraham, the Wood Construction Instructor at Somatua Training Center.

The six trainees from Intan Jaya Regency will continue this lesson over the next few days until the door frames they are making are completed and ready for use.(TimSTC)
