Somatua Training Center, a vocational training institution in Timika, welcomed a visit today from the Assessor Team of the Papua Province Vocational Training Institution Accreditation Body. The visit aimed to conduct an inspection and assessment of Somatua Training Center's readiness for the BNSP accreditation process of its 6G Welder program.
Somatua Training Center, which has successfully managed 14 accredited training programs, continues to strive for improved training quality and program relevance to the job market. The 6G Welder program, one of its flagship courses, is currently preparing to undergo the BNSP accreditation process.


Mrs. Jumik Wiyono, Chairperson of the Accreditation Committee for Vocational Training Institutions in Papua Province, expressed her high appreciation for the development of Somatua Training Center during her visit. “I am very impressed with the progress made by Somatua Training Center, both in terms of human resources and the available facilities and infrastructure. This reflects a strong commitment to continuously improving the quality of education and training in Papua,” she stated.
She also expressed her hope that Somatua Training Center will continue to grow and play an active role in developing human resources in the Mimika region and its surrounding areas.
“With more skilled workers being produced, it is expected that they will contribute to improving community welfare and supporting regional economic growth,” she added.
