[Timika], 6 September 2024 – Six students in the excavator operator training program underwent their midterm exam today. This exam is an important step to assess how well the participants have mastered the material taught during two weeks of field practice.
Over the past two weeks, the students have been intensively trained to operate heavy equipment, specifically excavators. The training covered basic theory as well as hands-on practice in the field. The goal is to equip the students with the skills needed to become proficient and professional excavator operators.

“This midterm exam is very important for us to assess the students’ progress,” said Mr. Yohanes, the instructor. “By understanding their current achievements, we can provide more specific evaluations and guidance to improve their skills.”
The one-month excavator operator training is expected to produce competent graduates who are ready to work in the field. Strong excavator operating skills are highly needed across various sectors such as construction, mining, and infrastructure.
