Timika, Papua Tengah 5 Mei 2024 – Somatua Training Center once again held a certificate awarding ceremony for training participants. This time, 13 Water Treatment Plant (WTP) employees received certificates after completing training at Somatua Training Center. This training is part of a free job training program initiated by Maximus Tipagau, the founder of Somatua Training Center.

This free job training program aims to improve the quality of human resources (HR) in Papua, especially for Indigenous Papuan youth (OAP). Through this program, participants receive comprehensive training in various fields, such as engineering, machinery, and electrical work.

At the certificate awarding ceremony, represented by the Head of Operations of Somatua Training Center, Rifai expressed his commitment to continue providing free job training for Indigenous Papuan youth (OAP). He is confident that with adequate training, OAP youth can compete in the workforce and contribute to development, especially in Papua.

“I want to see Indigenous Papuan youth become masters in their own land,” said Maximus Tipagau. “For that, they need to be equipped with adequate knowledge and skills. Somatua Training Center is here to provide that foundation.”

One of the training participants expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity provided by Somatua Training Center. He said that this training has been very beneficial in improving his skills and knowledge.

“I’m very happy to join this training,” said Yasinus Gobay. “I’ve learned many new things that will help me in my work, and I thank Mr. Maximus for providing this free training opportunity.”

Somatua Training Center is a training institution founded by Maximus Tipagau in 2020. The center focuses on job training for Indigenous Papuan youth (OAP). Somatua Training Center has collaborated with various parties, including local governments and private companies, to provide free job training for OAP youth.(STC)
