The electrical installation training students at Somatua Training Center (STC) gain a comprehensive learning experience by combining theory with hands-on practice. Today, they studied the topic of drawing simple electrical installations and immediately applied their knowledge by installing electrical wiring in the dormitory building of Somatua Training Center on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
In the theory session, the students were guided by experienced instructors to understand the fundamentals of electrical installation drawing. The topics covered included:
- Symbols used in electrical installation drawings
- How to draw floor plans and electrical installation diagrams
- Calculations for cable and electrical equipment requirements
- Reading electrical installation drawings
After understanding the theory, the students immediately put their knowledge into practice by installing electrical wiring indoors. They were taught how to:
- Install NYY cables on walls and ceilings
- Create safe and neat cable connections
- Install switches and power outlets
- Test the electrical installation
The integration of theory and practice in the electrical installation training at Somatua Training Center offers many benefits to the students, including:
