Somatuatrainingcenter.com Somatua Training Center, established according to the STC Academic Calendar, has developed a schedule that includes various trainings related to workplace safety and security. One routine activity in this schedule is field practice on fire extinguishing, conducted to implement Safety K3 measures within companies or institutions. The purpose of this activity is to prevent fire incidents by preparing training participants to handle emergency situations effectively.

Subhana, one of the Safety K3 instructors at Somatua Training Center, explained to the training participants the importance of understanding how to use a Portable Fire Extinguisher (APAR). “When a fire incident occurs, having knowledge of how to operate an APAR is very important. This equipment is usually provided in company areas, malls, or hotels to handle emergency situations such as fires. Therefore, safety and security become a top priority for human life,” Subhana stated.

The training at Somatua Training Center is professionally and comprehensively designed to ensure participants gain a solid understanding of Safety K3 and skills in using Portable Fire Extinguishers (APAR). Experienced instructors in this field guide participants in recognizing various types of fire extinguishers and provide knowledge about the appropriate actions to take in emergency situations.

In addition to learning about fire extinguishing equipment, participants will also study various aspects of safety and security in the workplace. They will be taught the importance of understanding fire risks present at work, as well as prevention procedures that can reduce these risks. Through this training, participants are expected to understand the importance of maintaining a safe work environment that is free from fire hazards.

One important aspect taught in the Safety K3 training is the identification of risks that may occur in the participants' work environment. Participants are taught to identify potential fire sources around them and to recognize factors that increase fire risks, such as excessive storage of flammable materials, faulty electrical installations, and violations of safety regulations. By understanding these factors, participants will be able to take appropriate preventive measures to reduce the risk of fire.

Additionally, the training covers understanding evacuation procedures in emergency situations. Participants are taught the importance of having a well-planned evacuation strategy and following established protocols to prevent and respond to fire incidents. They learn about safe evacuation routes, designated assembly points, and how to avoid blocked or dangerous paths. This knowledge helps participants respond quickly during emergencies and ensures the safety of themselves and others.

After studying the theory and practice related to Safety K3 and fire extinguishing, participants will have the opportunity to conduct fire simulations in a controlled environment. This aims to allow them to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in realistic situations. Participants will use Portable Fire Extinguishers (APAR) to put out fires within the simulation area. By performing these actions, participants will build their confidence and ensure they can respond effectively if a real fire incident occurs.

During the simulation, instructors will continuously provide guidance and feedback to the participants. This is important to help them understand and improve their skills in using the Portable Fire Extinguishers (APAR). After the simulation, participants will be evaluated by the instructors to assess their progress and receive recommendations for further skill improvement. This evaluation helps participants identify areas that need improvement and enhances their practices in fire prevention.

By participating in the Safety K3 training at Somatua Training Center, participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills to maintain safety and security in the workplace. They will learn to identify fire risks, take appropriate preventive measures, and respond quickly in case of a fire incident. All of this aims to protect the safety and lives of people within the work environment.
