One routine activity in this schedule is field practice on fire extinguishing, conducted to implement Safety K3 measures within companies or institutions. The purpose of this activity is to prevent fire incidents by preparing training participants to handle emergency situations effectively.
Subhana, one of the Safety K3 instructors at Somatua Training Center, explained to the training participants the importance of understanding how to use a Portable Fire Extinguisher (APAR). “When a fire incident occurs, having knowledge of how to operate an APAR is very important. This equipment is usually provided in company areas, malls, or hotels to handle emergency situations such as fires. Therefore, safety and security become a top priority for human life,” Subhana stated.
The training at Somatua Training Center is professionally and comprehensively designed to ensure participants gain a solid understanding of Safety K3 and skills in using Portable Fire Extinguishers (APAR). Experienced instructors in this field guide participants in recognizing various types of fire extinguishers and provide knowledge about the appropriate actions to take in emergency situations.
In addition to learning about fire extinguishing equipment, participants will also study various aspects of safety and security in the workplace. They will be taught the importance of understanding fire risks present at work, as well as prevention procedures that can reduce these risks.
