After several months of ongoing communication, Somatua Training Center successfully facilitated training for eight employees of PT Mpaigelah working in various divisions at Highland. Challenges such as differing days off among employees were eventually resolved, allowing the training to proceed smoothly.

Considering PTFI’s policies for contractors and employees working in its operational areas, this training is urgent as it is a prerequisite for working in their respective divisions. These employees were recommended by the user to participate in the training to gain knowledge, skills, and certification related to their job fields. The recommendation was based on the user’s assessment results, which indicated that the employees needed training and certification to be eligible for their current positions.

These eight employees primarily work in KPI (MTC Support, Maintenance, and Ore Flow). Their training needs vary but mainly focus on occupational safety. Among the mandatory topics they must master are safety for working at heights, LOTO/TOTO procedures, working in confined spaces, and others.
The training was scheduled to take place over three and a half days, starting Wednesday (December 6, 2023) and ending Saturday (December 9, 2023) at noon. As usual, the training combined theory and practical sessions led by instructor Subhana Simamora.(TIMSTC)
