First Day of Construction Refresher Training at STC

Somatua Training Center provides training opportunities for replacement candidates who are already competent but do not yet have certification in their area of expertise. Their skills will then be directly utilized and implemented in the field. This refresher training is focused exclusively on the construction sector and is conducted directly on a project under PT Mpaigelah.

“Wages earned are not solely in the form of money; receiving a certificate is also highly valuable in the eyes of the students as a form of recognition,” emphasized Ms. Ona Susana, Head of the Development Unit (HR, Facilities, and Counseling) at Somatua Training Center.

Training students are recruited by the Somatua Training Center team in collaboration with Mr. Linus Tipagau, who serves as the project leader where the students apply their skills. Somatua Training Center itself is a management entity established under the Somatua Foundation, which operates in the field of education and training. The operations of Somatua Training Center are overseen by Mr. Ferrianus Tipagau, supported by a team that handles administration and other related tasks.

A total of 60 students have been recruited. Today, Monday, May 9, 2022, the training students received and donned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before starting their work in the construction field.
