PT Mpaigelah and all its business units under the local contracting company celebrated the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia by holding a flag-raising ceremony and organizing various traditional games. All internal employees of PTM, Yayasan Somatua, Somatua Training Center, Kamoro Kafe, training participants from the Mimika Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans), as well as internship students from Cenderawasih University (UNCEN), took part in today’s festivities.

The flag-raising ceremony commemorating the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia took place smoothly this morning (17/8/23) in front of the PTM office on Jalan Cenderawasih, behind the Pemda Housing Complex. Acting as the ceremony inspector was Maximus Tipagau, President Director of PTM and Founder of Yayasan Somatua.

After the solemn flag-raising ceremony held under cloudy skies, the event continued with traditional Independence Day games such as tug-of-war, sack races, cup-and-ball transfers, sarong relay races, eating crackers, and many other competitions. All employees participated enthusiastically, competing in their respective teams.

This event not only fostered patriotism but also strengthened the camaraderie among all internal employees of PT Mpaigelah, Yayasan Somatua, Somatua Training Center, and all staff from PTM’s business units. The entire day’s activities were successfully and joyfully carried out.
