The training covered two programs: excavator operator and K3 Safety. Yohanes Lembang served as the excavator operator instructor, while Subhana Simamora taught Basic K3 Safety. Both instructors provided the necessary training materials to the students throughout the 31-day period. Specifically for the safety program, the material was not only given to participants in the K3 Safety program; excavator operator trainees also learned basic safety, especially tailored for the excavator class. Before operating an excavator, an operator must first understand and master the specific K3 Safety protocols applied to excavator operators.
The initial sessions were held face-to-face in the classroom for a total of 7 meetings. Seven students attended the theory classes, after which they were allowed to take the practical class while applying safety measures specifically for excavator operators. The practical excavator operation sessions were conducted 24 times directly in the field.
On Monday, June 26, 2023, the excavator training students took the final written exam. This exam aimed to reassess their understanding of excavator operation and the specific safety protocols for excavator operators. The written exam will be followed by a practical test before the students are officially declared graduates and receive their training certificates.(TIMSTC)
