Central Papua A total of 10 participants from Central Papua took part in the Fire Warden Training Class held earlier this week. The training was led by an experienced instructor, Mr. Subana Simamora, who equipped the participants with basic fire safety and firefighting skills.

The main focus of this session was hands-on practice in using a fire extinguisher. Participants were taught how to identify different types of fires, select the appropriate extinguisher, and carry out effective steps to extinguish fires quickly and safely.
“This knowledge is very important, especially for anticipating fire risks in both the workplace and at home,” said Subana Simamora.

The training was conducted in an interactive manner, where participants not only received theoretical instruction but also engaged in live simulations. The class atmosphere was enthusiastic, with each participant getting the opportunity to practice extinguishing fires using a fire extinguisher according to proper procedures.

This activity is expected to enhance participants’ preparedness in dealing with emergency situations, while also raising awareness about the importance of fire prevention. (STC)
