This activity is a crucial part of the training process aimed at equipping participants with technical skills and real-world readiness for the heavy equipment industry.
The practical session held on Monday, May 26, 2025, focused on mastering the basics of excavator operation, including digging techniques, material transport, and work safety procedures. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants were given hands-on opportunities to operate heavy machinery in a terrain simulated to resemble real working conditions.
“This training not only develops skills but also builds a sense of responsibility and work discipline,” said one of the field instructors at Somatua Training Center.
Wearing full safety gear and following strict operational procedures, the students showed high enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn. For many of them, this is the first step toward realizing their dream of becoming professional heavy equipment operators in the mining and construction industries.
