PT Mpaigelah, Yayasan Somatua, Somatua Training Center, PT Adventure Carstensz, along with other business units under PT Mpaigelah and environmental care communities in Timika, organized a city clean-up action to commemorate the 12th anniversary of PT Mpaigelah. This clean-up took place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at several locations in Timika City, including Jalan Cenderawasih, Jalan Yos Sudarso, Jalan Belibis, and Jalan Budi Utomo.
The clean-up action was participated in by employees from PT Mpaigelah, Yayasan Somatua, Somatua Training Center, as well as members of the general public. Together, they worked hand in hand to clean up scattered trash along the streets, in the fields, on sidewalks, and riverbanks.
In her speech, President Director of PT Mpaigelah, Aryati Nagapa, stated that this clean-up action reflects the company's commitment to environmental cleanliness. She expressed hope that this activity would serve as an example for the people of Timika to maintain a clean environment.

The activity lasted for about two hours and successfully collected various types of waste, including plastic, paper, glass, and scrap metal. All the collected trash was loaded into a garbage truck and will be transported to the final disposal site at SP 5.
This city cleanup campaign is expected to serve as a momentum to raise community awareness about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. With a clean environment, Timika City will become a more comfortable and healthier place to live.(TimSTC)
