Somatua Training Center (Tuesday, 29/11/2022) — Ahmad Syauqi, the son of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, arrived at Mozes Kilangin International Airport in Timika. He was warmly welcomed at the airport by Maximus Tipagau, Director of the Somatua Foundation and Head of the NU Branch in Timika. The group then proceeded to the STC building for a casual conversation over fried bananas and Papua’s Arabica coffee.
In addition to meeting with the leadership of Somatua Training Center, Ahmad Syauqi also took the time to greet the workshop participants currently undergoing training. The participants were enthusiastic and excited to meet him in person and to hear his message directly as the son of the Vice President.
“I am truly impressed by the young people of Papua who have an extraordinary passion for learning and a strong commitment to building Papua together,” said Ahmad Syauqi during this morning’s visit.
Maximus Tipagau added, “My deepest gratitude to the son of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for taking the time to visit the Somatua Training Center today. I hope this visit brings blessings and positive momentum for the progress of Papua.”
