After the inauguration of the new office located behind the Pemda Mimika SP2 housing complex on Wednesday (26/10), the office began to be occupied and used by PT Mpaigelah employees. In an effort to socialize and build closer ties with the local community around the new office location, today (Tuesday, 1/11) the employees of PT Mpaigelah, Yayasan Somatua, Somatua Training Center, and the shop management organized a cleanup activity of the yard and access routes leading to the office complex.

This activity was directly led by the director of PT Mpaigelah and Yayasan Somatua, Maximus Tipagau. More than 50 employees joined in this cleaning action. The area cleaned included the yard of the GKII Laodekia Church congregation on Jl. Cendrawasih SP2 and the access road leading to the office complex, which stretches over 500 meters.
A dump truck owned by PT Mpaigelah was also operated to support this activity. The left and right sides of the road were cleaned of trash, which was mostly dominated by plastic waste such as mineral water bottles.

Maximus Tipagau, as the leader of PT Mpaigelah and Yayasan Somatua, not only led and actively participated in this activity but also met with residents living along both sides of the road. He provided education about the importance of proper waste management, emphasizing that improper disposal would have long-term negative impacts on the environment. He even asserted that anyone caught littering in the area must be fined.

As an institution operating among the community, PT Mpaigelah and Yayasan Somatua need to collaborate with government agencies, churches, and the local community to keep the environment clean and beautiful.
