At the end of March 2022, the STC intake 5 students completed their training activities. Thus, they were officially declared graduates of the fifth training intake at Somatua Training Center. They participated in a training program that lasted three months, from January to March 2022. At the time of registration, there were 46 students, but by the graduation day, 44 students successfully completed the training. Meanwhile, 2 others withdrew midway for their respective reasons. The graduation ceremony was held today, Saturday, April 2, 2022.
The graduation ceremony for STC students of the January–March 2022 period was held in a simple and modest event. The ceremony took place in the yard of the workshop, which serves as the practical training area for STC students. All training students, instructors, and the STC team, including the head of management and administrative staff, were present on this occasion. Also attending the graduation ceremony was a representative from PT Mpaigelah’s management, namely the HR Manager, Mr. Abidin.
The event began with a prayer, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, "Indonesia Raya," then the song “Di Sana Pulauku.” Next, a report on activities was delivered by Iryanto Kosay, one of the STC staff members. After the report, the program continued with a speech from the STC Director, Mr. Maximus Tipagau, who was represented on this occasion by the HR Manager of PT Mpaigelah, Mr. Abidin. Mr. Perianus Paulus, the head of STC management, and Ms. Berliana Marino, the administrative coordinator, then delivered their remarks. They expressed hopes for STC’s continued progress and for producing competent graduates who are ready to enter the professional workforce.
The event then continued with the symbolic handover of certificates from the head of management to the students, represented by Yulius Elopere. Both instructors and students were given the opportunity to share their messages and impressions regarding the implementation of the fifth training intake. The instructors were represented by Mr. Abraham Marandof, while the students were represented by Yulius Elopere. Although the graduation ceremony was simple, the important thing is that the students returned home equipped with the skills they had gained during the training process.
