Central Papua — A meaningful moment of togetherness unfolded at the Somatua Training Center as all trainees from various programs took part in the weekly worship service, a spiritual tradition that has become an integral part of character development at the training center.
This week's service felt especially meaningful as, for the first time, all students from different training classes—ranging from Safety K3, Concrete and Light Steel Construction, to Heavy Equipment Operators—gathered together in one room, uniting their hearts in praise, worship, and the Word of God.

The sermon was delivered by Pastor Nino Rumabar, S.Th, who preached from the verse John 14:6:
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
— John 14:6
In his sermon, Pastor Nino emphasized the importance of having a clear and righteous direction in life amidst the many challenges of today’s world. He encouraged all participants to see the training not merely as a process of acquiring skills, but also as an opportunity to discover their identity and build a relationship with God. “Jesus Christ is the way and the truth who enables us to step into a better future. Don’t just learn with your hands—open your hearts as well,” Pastor Nino urged the participants.

The worship service took place in a solemn and heartfelt atmosphere, marked by uplifting spiritual songs sung together and prayers lifted with hope. The participants showed great enthusiasm and were actively engaged throughout the entire program.
One of the participants from the Operator class, Yosua, shared his deep emotion, saying, “I’ve never joined a worship service with all the friends from other classes. It felt different—stronger—and I truly felt that God was present, reaching out to each of us personally.”

The leadership of Somatua Training Center expressed their appreciation for the participants' enthusiasm and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a balance between technical training and spiritual development. Worship services like this are believed to strengthen the sense of brotherhood and foster sincerity and motivation throughout the training journey.
With the renewed spirit instilled through this joint worship service, the participants are expected to grow not only into skilled workers but also into individuals of integrity who uphold true and lasting values in life. (STC)
