Central Papua — The Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Training organized by the Somatua Training Center entered its second day of field practice on Tuesday (May 21). During this session, participants conducted simulations of working at height, one of the key components of the K3 training aimed at enhancing preparedness for high-risk work situations.

The practical activities took place in an open area under the full supervision of coaches and the safety team, including Daffa, who was directly overseeing the training process. All participants were equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and followed safety procedures in accordance with standard operating protocols.

"The participants demonstrated discipline and seriousness throughout the practice. We ensured that all procedures were followed to keep the activities safe," said Daffa.

The simulation ran smoothly without any issues until the end of the activity. Despite the high-risk nature of the training, it was followed with great enthusiasm—even by female participants, some of whom admitted to feeling afraid at first.

"I was really afraid of being in high places, but thanks to the supportive environment and the coaches who kept believing in me, I became braver and more confident in taking part in this practice," she said after the training session.

Somatua Training Center continues to emphasize the importance of implementing Occupational Health and Safety (K3) across various fields of work. Through hands-on practice like this, participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also develop the ability to apply it in real working conditions. (STC)
