After several days of theoretical lessons in the classroom, the students of the Welder Training Program Intake XXII at Somatua Training Center finally began their practical welding sessions from February 1 to 15, 2025. This activity marks an important step in their training process to become skilled professional welders ready to enter the industry. During the previous theory sessions, the students were introduced to various tools and equipment they would use in practice, including welding machines, electrodes, as well as different techniques and workplace safety standards. Equipped with this theoretical knowledge, they now have the opportunity to apply what they have learned directly in the training workshop.

On the first day of practice, the instructor provided a live demonstration of basic welding techniques, including how to properly start and operate the welding machine, metal joining methods, and the safety precautions that must be observed while working. Afterwards, each student was given the opportunity to try it themselves under the close supervision of the instructor. The students appeared enthusiastic and eager during the practical sessions. Although for some, the initial challenge of applying welding techniques felt difficult, with the guidance of experienced instructors, they gradually began to understand and master the essential basic skills. This training program is designed to provide hands-on experience that closely simulates real industrial working conditions, ensuring that students not only grasp the theory but also develop strong practical skills. It is hoped that upon completing this training, they will be ready to face challenges in the workforce and become professional welders.

Somatua Training Center remains committed to providing quality training for its students, aiming to produce skilled welders capable of competing in the industry. With these practical sessions, it is hoped that the Welder Intake XXII students will continue to develop and be well-prepared to advance to the next stage of their journey toward becoming professional welders.
