\u00a0Central Papua<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Somatua Training Center (STC) once again opened opportunities for young Papuans to enhance their technical skills. This time, five students from Enaro, Nabire Regency, officially began a one-month excavator operator training program in Timika.<\/p>\n

On the first day, the participants were immediately guided to the practice area. They were introduced to various equipment and the main components of the excavator, ranging from the hydraulic system and operational controls to workplace safety standards. This hands-on approach from the very beginning is expected to provide the trainees with a real understanding of the importance of mastering heavy equipment.<\/p>\n

Participants must first become familiar with the equipment and its functions before moving on to the operational stage. That way, they will not only be able to drive the machine but also understand the working principles and responsibilities of being an excavator operator,\u201d explained one of the STC instructors during the training session.<\/p>\n

The training program is designed to cover theory, field practice, and the basics of heavy equipment maintenance. Over the course of one month, the students will receive intensive guidance to prepare them for the demands of both the mining and construction industries.<\/p>\n

One of the participants expressed gratitude for being able to join the training. \u201cI am very happy to learn directly about excavators. My hope is that after graduation, I can find work and support my family,\u201d he said with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

Through this program, STC reaffirms its commitment to continuously support the development of human resources in Papua, particularly those from remote areas, by equipping them with skills that are relevant to the needs of the job market.
