Central Papua<\/em><\/strong>Timika, Central Papua \u2014 The Provincial Government of Central Papua continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing reliable and job-ready human resources, particularly among the young generation of Papua. One concrete step taken is establishing a strategic partnership with the Somatua Training Center to train Papuan students in various vocational skills, including the Welder class.<\/p>\n

Today, Wednesday (July 31), marks the third day of the Welder training program, with participants focusing on mastering the basic theory of workplace safety for welders. The session was delivered directly by an experienced instructor, Ruddy T., who is widely recognized in the field of welding training in Papua.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"Safety is the first thing one must master before handling any welding equipment,\" said Ruddy T. to the participants as he opened the morning training session. He went on to explain the various potential hazards in the field, as well as the standard safety procedures that must be applied in every welding activity.<\/p>\n

After completing the theory session, the students were also introduced directly to cutting techniques using Acetylene and Oxygen gas, commonly known as the oxy-fuel cutting method. oxy-fuel cutting<\/em>They began to understand how the equipment works, observed metal cutting procedures, and were given limited hands-on simulations using the tools in a controlled environment.<\/p>\n

This training is part of an intensive program designed to run over several weeks, combining theoretical learning and practical application in a balanced manner. The main focus is to equip participants with welding skills required by the industry, while also boosting the confidence and independence of Papua\u2019s young generation.<\/p>\n

The program has been warmly received by the participants, who have shown great enthusiasm throughout each session. The Provincial Government of Central Papua hopes that its collaboration with Somatua Training Center will continue and produce skilled graduates who are capable of competing in the workforce, both locally and nationally.
