Central Papua<\/strong> \u2013<\/em>Timika, Central Papua \u2013 In an effort to enhance the technical understanding and practical skills of training participants in the field of construction, a special session on Light Steel and Concrete Block Construction was conducted under the guidance of an experienced practitioner, Abraham Marandof. Light steel and concrete block construction<\/em> Held on Tuesday (29\/07) at the building construction training hall in Timika, the session was delivered by Abraham Marandof, an experienced practitioner who has been involved in the construction industry for over two decades.<\/p>\n

Abraham Marandof is widely known among construction professionals as an expert in the application of both modern and conventional construction materials, particularly light steel and concrete blocks. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of understanding structural integrity, cost efficiency, and the durability of materials in tropical climates like that of Papua.<\/p>\n

\u201cLight steel is not just about being lightweight; it\u2019s about efficiency and strength. When properly designed and installed, light steel can withstand wind and earthquake loads very effectively,\u201d said Abraham in front of the participants.<\/p>\n

In addition to theoretical lessons, the session also included demonstrations on light steel connection techniques as well as hands-on practice in mixing and casting concrete blocks. Participants were given the opportunity to try these methods themselves under the guidance of Abraham and his technical team.<\/p>\n

The training participants appeared enthusiastic throughout each stage of the session. One of them, Rudi Yohanis, shared that the material broadened his perspective on more practical and durable construction methods. \u201cUntil now, I only knew traditional techniques. Now I understand how steel frame systems can be used to build earthquake-resistant houses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

This training is part of a workforce capacity-building program facilitated by the Central Papua Provincial Government in collaboration with several technical training institutions. The material delivered by Abraham Marandof is expected to provide practical knowledge for participants, whether they plan to work on construction projects or start their own businesses in the building sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I emphasize is not just technique, but also responsibility. Every building involves human lives. Therefore, it must be done with high standards and strong ethics,\u201d Abraham firmly stated as he concluded the session.<\/p>\n
