Central Papua<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Timika, Central Papua \u2014 In an effort to strengthen collaboration and improve the quality of workforce training in Central Papua, the Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) of Intan Jaya Regency conducted an official visit to the Somatua Training Center on Thursday, July 17, 2025.<\/p>\n

The Disnakertrans delegation, led directly by the Head of the Department, Jeremias Kobogau, was warmly welcomed by the Head of Operations of the Somatua Training Center, Annisa Purba, along with her team. The visit focused on directly reviewing the training facilities available at the center.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the delegation inspected several key facilities, including training classrooms, dormitories for trainees, and the operational office area of the Somatua Training Center. The inspection aimed to assess the readiness of the infrastructure in supporting the learning process and skill development for prospective local workers.<\/p>\n

After the inspection at the training center's main office, the delegation continued their visit to the Somatua Workshop located on Jl. Cendrawasih SP II, right behind the local government office. At this site, the guests received a direct presentation on the technical training processes carried out in the field, including the hands-on work practices provided to program participants.<\/p>\n

In her statement, Annisa Purba expressed that the Somatua Training Center is open to collaborating with local governments, particularly in supporting the improvement of skills and competencies among indigenous Papuan workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope this visit marks the beginning of a closer partnership between Somatua and the Intan Jaya Department of Manpower and Transmigration. Our focus is to create training programs that are relevant to industry needs and provide real benefits for the local community,\u201d Annisa stated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Head of the Intan Jaya Department of Manpower and Transmigration, Jeremias Kobogau, expressed his appreciation for the facilities and training system developed by the Somatua Training Center. He stated that the center has the potential to become a strategic partner in supporting human resource development programs in the Intan Jaya region.<\/p>\n
