Somatua Training Center conducted a construction training practicum for Intake XXII from February 17 to March 15, 2025. During this training session, all students were given the opportunity to practice making window and door frames, as well as constructing a water retaining wall (talud). The activity aimed to equip participants with skills aligned with industry standards in construction, preparing them to enter the workforce with confidence.\n\nThe training was held in an environment designed to simulate real construction site conditions. Before engaging in practical work, students received theoretical instruction, followed by hands-on experience in crafting window and door frames from start to finish. They learned how to measure, cut, assemble, and ensure that the final products met the required technical specifications.<\/p>\n

In addition, participants also received training in concrete masonry construction, specifically in building water retaining walls (talud). They were taught techniques for arranging stones, mixing concrete mortar, and methods for reinforcing the structure to ensure the retaining wall functions effectively and is durable.\n\nThe training focused not only on technical skills but also on workplace safety principles that must be applied throughout the construction process. Experienced instructors in the field of construction guided every step of the process. They provided directions, tips, and evaluations to each participant to ensure the skills acquired meet professional work standards.<\/p>\n

With direct guidance, students not only grasped the theory but were also able to apply it practically. Besides honing technical skills, the training emphasized the importance of teamwork and time management. Each student worked in groups to complete their projects, thereby sharpening communication and coordination skills among team members.\n\nThrough this hands-on experience, it is hoped that graduates of Somatua Training Center Intake XXII will become skilled, competent construction workers ready to compete in the industry. Their success in this training marks the first step toward a successful career in the construction field.<\/p>\n
