As part of efforts to enhance workplace safety, the Training Intake XXII students at Somatua Training Center underwent Lockout Tagout Tryout (LOTOTO) training and practice. This program aims to equip participants with the skills to identify, isolate, and secure energy sources before performing maintenance or repair work on machines and industrial equipment.<\/p>\n
LOTOTO is a workplace safety procedure that must be implemented across various industrial sectors, especially those involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. In this practice, students are taught the key steps of LOTOTO, which include identifying energy sources, disconnecting power, installing locking devices (lockout), attaching warning tags (tagout), and testing the effectiveness of energy isolation before starting work (tryout).<\/p>\n

This training was conducted under the guidance of experienced instructors who provided both theoretical lessons and live demonstrations in the field. The students were also given opportunities to simulate LOTOTO procedures on various types of equipment to enhance their understanding and practical skills.
