Timika, Papua Tengah-<\/strong> Somatua Training Center today began the first Safety K3 training class for 13 students from six tribes in the Papua Highlands. This training is initiated by Maximus Tipagau with the aim of increasing the students' awareness and knowledge about the importance of workplace safety.<\/p>\n

These 13 students are indigenous youths from the Papua Highlands who are expected to become agents of change in promoting a safety culture in their respective workplaces.<\/p>\n

In the first class, the students received an orientation about Somatua Training Center and its founding purpose. They were also introduced to basic Safety K3 materials, such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and hazard control, which took place in the training classroom at Somatua Training Center on May 6, 2024.<\/p>\n

\"We want these students to understand that workplace safety is important and must be prioritized,\" said Hera Rumbiak, one of the instructors. \"With the knowledge and awareness they gain, we hope they can work safely and avoid accidents.\"<\/p>\n

The Safety K3 training is one of Somatua Training Center\u2019s commitments to contributing to human resource development in Papua.
