The practical classes began on Thursday, January 18, 2023, and are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:227\">There are 2 participants in the general Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training program and 8 participants in the excavator operator training program. All participants come from Timika City. This field practice class is part of the training curriculum at Somatua Training Center. The class is designed to provide hands-on experience for the trainees in operating heavy equipment and applying OHS principles.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:227\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3092 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/somatuatrainingcenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-01-20-at-07.01.04_03f86f05-771x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"771\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:227\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:303\">For the general OHS class, participants will study topics such as workplace safety in industrial settings, accident prevention, and emergency response. They will also engage in hands-on practice using safety equipment such as helmets, safety glasses, and safety shoes within the work environment of the Somatua Training Center workshop.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:345\">Meanwhile, in the excavator operator class, participants will learn topics such as an introduction to heavy equipment, how to operate heavy machinery, and equipment maintenance. They will also engage in hands-on practice operating excavators for various tasks, such as digging soil, loading materials, and moving materials.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:345\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3095 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/somatuatrainingcenter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-01-20-at-07.01.05_d8aabf04-771x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"771\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"13:1-13:246\">These field practice classes are guided by experienced and qualified instructors.
