Six participants from Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, continued their training in the wood construction class, where the material covered today, Thursday (16\/11\/2023), is the making and installation of door frames at Somatua Training Center, Timika. This activity is part of the community empowerment program organized by Yayasan Somatua.<\/p>\n

The participants come from diverse backgrounds, including farmers, youth, and middle-aged men. They are interested in joining this training to improve their skills in making and installing door frames.<\/p>\n

In this training, the participants are taught various skills, starting from selecting materials, creating patterns, to installing door and window frames. They are also trained to use different tools and machines needed for making door and window frames.<\/p>\n

According to one of the participants, this training has been very beneficial for him. He admitted that he previously had no skills in making and installing door frames. However, after attending this training, he is now able to make and install door frames properly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very happy to participate in this training. Now I can make and install door frames by myself. I can also start a business in making and installing door frames,\u201d said one of the training participants.<\/p>\n

Another participant also expressed satisfaction with the training. He said that the material provided was very comprehensive and easy to understand. He also enjoyed the opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants and the experienced instructors at Somatua Training Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, I taught how to make doors and windows so that the measurements are accurate, ensuring that the doors and windows fit perfectly with the door frames we made the day before,\u201d concluded Abraham Marandof, the wood construction instructor.<\/p>\n

Somatua Training Center hopes that this activity can improve the participants' skills and encourage them to develop their own regions after completing the training.
