DRILLING (WELLSITE GEOLOGY)
Drilling activities, mainly related to mining, are only handled by professional, experienced, and certified workers. Somatua Training Center provides drilling training to supply the apprentice with deep knowledge and ability to understand drilling work system, drilling methods, geological condition analysis, pressure, soil condition, types of rocks, and stages in drilling. Somatua Training Center provides two programs for drilling training, namely Mud Logger, and Well Site Geologist. The end goal of this training is the apprentices posses the ability to perform as mud logger, and well site geology professionals based on applicable standards.
After participating in this training, participants are competent in carrying out Wellsite Geology work in accordance with applicable standards

- Make reports and work plans for activities in the workplace
- Conduct a geological review survey of geothermal areas
- Carry out detailed geological mapping of geothermal areas
- Manage geothermal geological database
- Create a geothermal geological model
- Creating a tentative or conceptual model of the geothermal system
- Selecting a tentative or conceptual model of a geothermal system
- Recommend estimates of geothermal potential
- Doing Wellsite Geology work
- Recommend planning, drilling of geothermal exploration wells
- Estimating the sustainability of drilling well operations
240 hours of training @ 45 minutes
